This is my moms secret spaghetti recipes, and my friends would always want my mom to make this for any party we hosted. I didn’t know what made it taste so good until I learned the secret ingredient, soy sauce! This may sound weird in a spaghetti recipe, but I promise it boosts the flavor like no other!
This recipe also comes together super quickly and it saves well for left overs! You can make a big batch of this sauce and have it ready for the week to make a quick lunch or dinner.

Key ingredients for Chinese spaghetti:
- Ground beef
- Ground beef is my preferred choice of meat for spaghetti sauces. You can sub with ground chicken or turkey an d it will still taste amazing.
- Marinara sauce
- I just use the jar’d stuff because it is so much faster! You can make your own from scratch if you are up for that!
- Garlic, onion, and ginger
- Are we surprised here? These three ingredients are essential in Chinese cooking. They are essential for sauces, stir fry’s, dumplings, and more!
- Soy sauce
- This is the secret ingredient that is definitely not traditionally found in regular spaghetti. IT adds another level of flavor and gives it a delicious umami kick.
- Angel hair
- Angel hair is by far my favorite pasta. I love how thin it is and how fast it cooks. You can use whatever pasts you prefer.
- Basil
- I live the freshness that basil adds to this dish! Traditionally basil goes incredibly well with spaghetti, so I though I’d keep it with the Chinese spaghetti too!
