I’ve got the perfect game day or party appetizer coming your way! I know game days or party prep can be very hectic, but I guarantee that this buffalo chicken wonton cups recipe will make your life a whole lot easier! This recipe is a time saver because you don’t have to individually wrap each wonton, and all you have to do is fill a muffin tin with a wonton wrapper and filling.
This recipe is super simple and requires minimal ingredients. I used Primal Kitchens dairy free buffalo sauce, and it is so delicious! You can obviously use your favorite buffalo sauce or make some from scratch! I served this with some ranch on the side, and it was the perfect compliment!
To make this recipe even simpler, take some rotisserie chicken and douse some buffalo sauce over it! then you can avoid the whole cutting and cooking part for the chicken.
There are so many other variations to make with this recipe as well! While I was making this I thought this would also work great with barbecue sauce, teriyaki sauce, even pizza sauce and some cheese! These wonton cups last great in the fridge, which means it is a great way to meal prep for the week!

Key ingredients for these buffalo chicken wonton cups:
- Chicken
- I like using chicken breast for this recipe but chicken thigh works just as well.
- Buffalo sauce
- I used Primal kitchens dairy free buffalo sauce! It is paleo and whole30 approved which means it’s made with clean ingredients, and I swear it tastes just as amazing!
- Scallions
- I feel like buffalo sauce and scallions were made for each other! I love the hint of onion flavor the scallions add to the chicken filling!
- Wonton wrappers
- I used square wonton wrappers! You can find these at your local grocery store, and easily at any Asian grocery store!
